I plan on entering The Pretenders in the 2020 RITA contest; like always, I get the jitters a couple months out and decide to go back and pore over my manuscript to make sure it's devoid of any grammatical errors, ect. Although I published The Pretenders less than a year ago, I've done some tweaking, both to the cover and to the final manuscript. Although I like my original cover, in hindsight I wanted to put a tagline on the front, so I recently gave the design a little tweak to make room for that. I had to remove the border in order to do so. I enlarged the title, too, and lightened the bottom panoramic scene as well. I think I suffer from a benign form of obsessive-compulsiveness. Is that a thing?
Anyway, I hope you'll wish me luck with the 2020 RITAs! The contest entry date isn't for another month, so I'll check back then and keep you informed of all the exciting details! Actually, it's mostly just waiting and wearing out a strip in the carpet from pacing back and forth, but hey! We can pretend it'll be loads of fun, right?
