RITA Books Received!

I received my UPS box full of books for the RITA contest judging!  It looked like a bear sat on it, but all the books inside were A-Okay. I'm really excited to get started! Contest rules states I can't reveal which books I've received, nor the ratings I give them, but I can say that I received six books in total, and I've already read one. The deadline to have all scoring completed is March 7th, but I hope to complete my packet of books well before then. Thanks to my last several posts, I have a solid plan as how to judge each book. The tenth of a percentage point scoring will require a more systematic approach, and so I've decided on using Post-it flags to mark any pages that really stand out, whether positive or negative. For example, a beautifully constructed sentence would receive a flag, and then I'll take into account the number of flagged pages when adjusting the tenth of a decimal point scores.
